The Alliance for Bakery Students & Trainers annual awards took place recently with CSM Ingredients sponsoring The Mandy Wansell Trophy category that requires entrants to create four Danish Pastries of a minimum of two types laminated with Flex Laminating Fat. 

The competition is open to any student or trainee member of the Alliance and we are delighted that 1st place was awarded to Jess Nettleship from Sheffield College who won £100 and a ABST Medal and Diploma; 2nd Place went to Jo Dainton from University College Birmingham who won £50 and a ABST Medal and Diploma and in 3rd Place was Jordan Young from NTU/SAF who won £25 and a ABST Medal and Diploma. 

It’s a huge honour to be supporting the next generation of bakery students and the team were hugely impressed by the very high standard of all entries. A huge WELL DONE to all.
