…and welcome to the second issue of the CSM Ingredients newsletter.  Thank you to everyone that provided feedback and comments on the first issue.  As we head further into Autumn and Winter it’s time to look towards seasonal recipes.  As Halloween is just around the corner we have fantastic recipes that will appeal to young and old as well as news on our new cookie mixes and a National Doughnut Week update.

COOKIE TIME

The 100% mix is easy to use, simply add water and margarine as per the instructions.  They provide convenience in that there’s the flexibility to make a batch and freeze pre-made cookie pucks ahead of time and bake off fresh as required.  They can also be stored overnight in a sealed container to allow baked off cookies to go on sale the next day that taste as fresh as when they were first baked.  It’s easy to add a touch of indulgence to both flavours as they both work well with additional ingredients as well as blending them together to create a bespoke marble effect. The mixes help businesses create stand out by offering a bespoke cookie range via inclusions such as dried fruit, chocolate chip cookies, toffee sauce or Crembels and a strong range rotation with seasonality and promotional specials such as giant birthday and celebration cookies.  Perfect for all year round and autumn and winter themed cookies!

NATIONAL DOUGHNUT WEEK

National Doughnut Week has so far raised £35,038.72.  This year’s activity saw lots of bakers taking part.  From Euro football themed doughnuts to innovative new flavours, participants loved the effort everyone put into it.  On behalf of everyone involved in the fund raising week including The Children’s Trust who receive all the of the money raised, we want to say a huge thank you to all the bakers that have taken part this year, and in previous years to help raise the grand total.

….And National Doughnut Week will be returning 7th-15th May in 2022  - so make a note in your diaries.
